Don't miss the second annual Boo at the Barn, Saturday, October 27, from 12-4 pm. As you can see from the poster, there are plenty of events and many sponsors and partners who have collaborated to create this event.
Miracles in Motion celebrated 30 years of service with a gala on Thursday, September 13. Thanks to the sponsors, all those who donated items for the silent auction, everyone who came and helped, and special thanks to South Slope for hosting the event at the South Slope Community Center. Thanks also to Mr. Sea and Little Guy, the smallest of our therapeutic equines, for welcoming attendees.
Amy McClure, board member and esteemed part of the Miracles family, passed away Sunday, August 12, at Mercy Medical Center in Iowa City. Amy was active at Miracles through her work on the board of directors, her volunteering in the barn feeding and caring for the horses, and for her artistic contributions, especially at special events where she loved to face-paint the kids. As a member of the board, Amy could be counted on for her thoughtful and sincere approach to issues, always with the interests of the students we serve as her foremost concern. Her bright smile, cheerful attitude, and dependable presence will be missed by everyone who met her. This is truly a great loss for us all, and a sad time for Miracles. We want to extend our sympathies to Amy's husband, Dennis, and her daughters Kora and Ari, as well as her work family at Hills Bank & Trust, where Amy was Vice President of Retail Sales and Services.
