Miracles in Motion, located a short drive from Swisher, Iowa, is on 70 acres of land. Indoor and outdoor arenas and a stable with 10 stalls round out the equestrian facility. The office is located in the back of the house.
In 2006, through grants, donors and volunteers, a new outdoor arena and pavilion were added. A sensory trail has been incorporated into the space around these new facilities.
The facility is totally accessible, including a unique mounting ramp with a lift to ensure safety and ease in mounting riders. Saddles have peacock stirrups for safety; saddles and bareback pads are selected with the rider's skill level in mind. We use adaptive equipment in accordance with PATH standards to allow riders to make the best use of their abilities.
Miracles in Motion provides several areas for equestrian activities:
- A weather-protected arena with fibar footing and dust-reducing sprinkler system
- A small outdoor arena
- A large outdoor arena
- A park-style pavilion for observation
- A completed trail with sensory stations
The beautiful outdoor arena, pavilion, and trail were completed in 2006. The sensory trail, completed in 2008, includes several stations to stimulate the senses of our students through sights, sounds and touch.
